Hello, and a warm welcome to my site. My name is Rebecca Bosl and I am the Founder of The Dream Life Team. My calling and purpose is to help people discover their dream life and make plans to achieve it!
I sold my house and went all-in when I launched my resume writing business full-time, thinking it would take a year or more to get a full-time client load.
My business took off immediately as my first 7 clients all landed new jobs within 60 days.
I met my first client, James, at an executive job search group. He was feeling discouraged because he had been searching for a new job for six months and did not even have one interview in that period. He decided to work with me on his resume and LinkedIn profile, thinking it might help him.
Within two weeks of me significantly transforming his resume and LinkedIn profile, he had several interviews. Within four weeks, he received and accepted an offer for a great new job. In fact, with his revised LinkedIn profile, he continued to generate interest in open positions for many months after he started his new job.
He was thrilled to land his new job so quickly, so he told everyone at his job seeker group how I had helped him. Six of his friends came to work with me, and ALL OF THEM landed new positions within four weeks of me transforming their career marketing documents. My business got up and running with a full-time client load for me immediately due to word-of-mouth regarding my success.
Fast forward thousands of clients later…. I still have a robust resume writing and career coaching business. My clients land jobs quickly, and happily refer their friends, family members, and colleagues to me.
I really love what I do for a living.
I am being honest when I share that I can’t believe I get paid to do this for a living. I really love the resume intake process (hearing about your strengths, and how you got to where you are), as well as the actual writing of a resume. It is an art form that comes naturally to me, and I find it both relaxing and intellectually stimulating to learn new things every day. I also enjoy the strategic challenge of making you sound like a rock star on paper.
I am just as passionate about the career transition coaching process. I can see the potential of what you can be, and I can help brainstorm new ways you can use your existing skills in a career pivot, along with ways you can completely re-invent yourself in a new career. I then connect the dots between who you are now, and who you want to be, to present you as a great candidate on your resume.
I make a point to live a balanced life and spend time every day on my other passions.
I believe in living a balanced life. While I love what I do for a living, I also have other passions that I don’t get paid for and make time for my other passions every day. This enables me to teach others about balanced living and keeps me refreshed so that I maintain my creative edge while writing.
Except for attending The Ohio State University for my bachelor’s degree, and brief stints in San Diego and Atlanta, I have lived my entire life in Cleveland, Ohio. I enjoy the big city amenities in a smaller city, along with proximity to The Great Lakes (Lake Erie), Cuyahoga Valley National Park (CVNP), and the best local park system in the United States (The Cleveland Metroparks).
I moved to the northern rim of the Cuyahoga Valley National Park and can walk out from my house to national park hiking and biking trails. While my national park may not be as majestic as the Rocky Mountains, it has easy daily access, proximity to the city, and its own beauty.
In the summer months, you can usually find me kayaking, bicycling, and camping with friends, and sharing a glass of wine and s’mores around a roaring campfire. In the winter months, I love to hike, snowshoe, cross-country ski, and escape for a short vacation to somewhere warm.
My other passion is hanging out with my mini labradoodle, Buckeye. His favorite things are jumping in deep snow, playing fetch with a ball and a frisbee, and scouting out lily pads when we kayak. He enjoys eating, and his favorite snack is chicken jerky. He is a great office assistant and foot warmer while I work.
