Step 1 – Discovery: Get focused by defining the ideal next role or career
Yes, I know you may want to dive right into your job search. Taking a little bit of time to get focused at the start of your search will actually save you time though, as you’ll be more focused. If you’re not focused you’ll be overwhelmed from chasing too many opportunities that are not the right fit.
Getting focused is easier and faster than you think. It is the most important step in finding and getting a dream job. It is what drives all other activities, and increases the possibility of a shorter job search.
First you’ll decide on what are the “must have’s” for your new job or career, and then truly identify your dream position – what will truly make you jump out of bed each morning excited to start the day. We will explore and define the ideal role / career. This is done through a variety of exercises and then reviewed with the career coach. We will define the ideal Internal FIT (what fulfills, self-identity and personality type) and External FIT (desired function, industry / interest, and values).
Step 2 – Branding Exercises
This is one of the most exciting parts of the job search process. Through a number of exercises, you’ll define the authentic “you” and identify your greatest strengths, why someone should hire you and how to communicate your brand. Lastly you’ll document your SMART stories. This means you will identify and quantify major accomplishments for each job. These will be used in the resume and in interviewing.
Step 3 – Resume Development / Personal Marketing Documents
Next, we’ll ensure you have an outstanding resume and LinkedIn profile so that you can secure a job interview. A resume will be created that highlights your strengths, showcases your accomplishments and really “pops”. The resume will be keyword rich and have a strong summary section / accomplishments. A keyword rich LinkedIn profile will also be created. Other marketing documents you’ll need include: Cover Letter / Networking Letters, Biography.
Step 4 – Targeted Job Search – Tap the Hidden Job Market
How many jobs interviews have you had? How many opportunities are in your pipeline? Too often, job seekers simply scan the internet for job openings, and are missing the majority of hidden opportunities. It’s been reported that 80% of positions never become an advertised opening – these “hidden” jobs are filled when there is not yet an opening; when there is an existing need but no action has been taken to fill the position; and when there is an “open” yet not yet advertised job. Tapping this “hidden” job market will greatly expand your opportunities. Your targeted search will be run alongside a traditional search consisting of submitting resumes for advertised positions, contacting recruiters and career events. Once you have an interview scheduled, you’ll need to shine as you answer questions and in your follow-up marketing documents. This will enable you to stand out from the dozen or so other final candidates and secure an offer. We assist with the following:

Step 6 – Check-ups
